ISO 17025 accreditation provides a strong foundation for a stringent Quality Program at each of Bureau Veritas’ four North American laboratories.

At Bureau Veritas – Oil Analysis, data integrity and quality are clear priorities. Thanks to our rigorous Quality System, our customers can have complete confidence in every piece of data we generate.

Our Quality Team reinforces the Bureau Veritas – Oil Analysis Quality Management System through on-going monitoring, training and documentation. To ensure its independence, integrity and effectiveness, our Quality Team is independent from operation.

Our Quality Program is designed to comply with or exceed the data quality objectives of the industry, ASTM and the International Standards Organization (ISO/IEC 17025). Our stringent quality adherence strategy is supported through participation in our accreditation programs and proficiency testing programs.

Each of our oil analysis laboratories and our Quality System undergo an assessment by an external accrediting body (ANAB) in order to have their policies and procedures approved and accredited. On occasion, oil analysis customers will audit our facilities in order to satisfy requirements specific to their own business. Our own Quality Assurance Department routinely monitors procedures and processes by way of compliance audits, quality system audits and method audits to ensure compliance with accreditation and client requirements.

Our Quality Policy is to provide analytical results and services that consistently meet our customers’ specified requirements through the implementation of a comprehensive quality management system.

Quality Objectives

  • To strive for continual improvement in meeting our service commitments by monitoring our effectiveness at meeting both internal objectives and customer requests.
  • To strive to produce analytical data of the best quality, through the use of analytical measurements that are reliable, accurate and adequate for the intended purpose.
  • To strive to reduce non-conformances through a comprehensive staff training program and employee adherence to the quality management system.
  • To conduct our activities to the highest ethical standards as detailed in the Bureau Veritas Code of Ethics.
  • To improve the effectiveness of our Quality System through the use of the quality policies and objectives, audit results, corrective and preventive actions, management review, quality improvement meetings and appropriate continuous improvement projects.
  • Management is committed to comply with the international standard ISO/IEC 17025 “General Requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.” Policies and relevant procedures can be found in the Bureau Veritas – Oil Analysis Quality Manual and Quality Procedures
